From the initial booking Tarquina was welcoming. Communication was great and the welcome could not have been any warmer 💖🕊️
Her home and hospitality is exceptional, and her catering was astounding, with a banquet fit for a queen 🤤😋 Everything she cooked was home made, and she also makes her own jams. The room was sumptuous and the spa bath was just perfect. Absolutely everything you need and more-even down to toiletries and luxury bathrobes and towels...there is no stone unturned. In the room itself there is a hamper of teas, including herbal teas, coffees and hot chocolates and raw honey for that extra indulgent morning cuppa. When I arrived Tarquina had left a welcome gift of home baked goodies- a beautiful personal touch 🤗
The place is exclusively decorated and exceptionally clean and welcoming.
The bed and bedding are so cosy and comfortable that it made getting out of bed a bit of a chore 😂 She has such an eye for detail and a warm and welcoming nature that reflects the love she has put into creating this wonderful home. A hand stitched picture in the room could not have put it more perfectly, as is said "arrived as strangers, leave as Friends" 🤗💖 and I certainly felt that. I can't wait to return for a longer stay. Thank you so much, Tarquina, you are fantastic
The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't stay longer, but I will definitely be returning, as I've never felt so relaxed

Tarquina warmly welcomed me when I arrived. Bumbleberry Cottage is in a great, peaceful location and a good base for exploring the Wirral, Chester, Cheshire Oaks, Wrexham, and more.
The room was spotlessly clean, with a lovely walk-in shower in the en-suite. There were hot drink making facilities and milk in the fridge. Tarquina also gave us home baked treats every evening, which were delicious.
The breakfast was amazing; continental with lots of cold cuts and cheese, croissant, pain au chocolate, and toast. Pots with layers of fruit, yoghurt, and granola. The traditional cooked breakfast option looked great, too.
Tarquina happily also offers a selection of evening meals. I had lasagne, salad, and garlic bread, which was delicious.
There is a wonderful pub about 15 mins walk from the property and several other suggestions made in the guest information pack.
Everything was wonderful.
