The location is excellent perfectly placed for airport connections and within easy reach of local amenities. The accommodation was clean and well-maintained, with efficient air conditioning and a smart TV that added a nice touch of convenience. We also appreciated the bottled water left in the fridge; it was a small gesture, but a thoughtful one in the heat.
The building itself is not immediately obvious, we had to rely on a photo from the host to locate the entrance. The stairs are steep and challenging, particularly with heavier luggage, and the absence of a lift is a notable inconvenience. We also only discovered light switches hidden at the bottom of the staircase by chance, which felt unnecessarily awkward.
The bathroom did not quite meet expectations. While reasonably clean, it was compact and required careful manoeuvring to avoid the toilet. The hot water supply failed after two days, and although we managed due to the warm climate, it was disappointing not to have a working solution.
The bedroom was fresh and the linen clean, though the bedspread appeared a little dated. The bed itself was noisy, every movement produced a squeak and the walls offered little sound insulation, making neighbouring activity clearly audible.
The owner does offer contact details for additional assistance, which we appreciated in principle. However, we reached out on Sunday with a simple request whether we might leave our bags a little longer. We weren't banking on a yes, but we did expect a reply. By Wednesday, we'd still heard nothing. A straightforward "no" would have been perfectly acceptable; the lack of response felt unprofessional and dismissive
