Authenticity.
The architecture and furnishings were local (as far as I know) and the whole place was in keeping with the area. I’m not on social media but I’d imagine for people who care about that sort of thing the photos alone would be worth the stay. We were just happy to sit and soak it in. The breakfast was by far the best thing about it. Served in a beautiful garden, fresh, western food served in an air conditioned little veranda in the quiet, away from the craziness that is India.
Our son found it difficult with tight little spaces and stone steps and he was desperate to swim, so we did move on earlier than we had hoped. This was more to do with us than the property. It’s a special little place. I adored it.
NB It was tricky to find late at night with tuk tuk drivers pretending to not know the area 🙄
ALL drivers have their own phone. Tell them to use it to get you as close as they can. It’s a scam. Walk the rest on foot to Bristows 👍🏼

Alors j'avais réservé par Booking une chambre pour 4 avec 2 grands enfants qui en fait était plutôt une chambre pour 2 petits enfants ! donc on a eu un matelas supplémentaire ... dans le fond c'était pratique car la chambre qui devait accueillir les 2 enfants n'a pas de climatisation ... Mais un ventilo ... donc nous avions 2 chambres dont une sans climatisation et la chaleur aurait nécessité d'avoir une climatisation ..; mais nous avons oublié tout ca grace à l'accueil et la gentillesse des propriétaires ...

Lit dur. Pas de fenêtres et très bruyant.
