About this house rental

This lakefront getaway offers our guests an amazing experience with incredible scenery and is located just 40 minutes from Yellowstone National Park. This home has 2 bedrooms plus a large loft/play area for the kids. This cabin features a full kitchen with plates, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, microwave etc. If you prefer not to cook while on vacation, Lakeside Lodge is a full service restaurant and bar just minutes away and also offers rentals for both on and off the water. The main floor of this beautiful 3 bedroom 1 bathroom cabin features 1 of the bedrooms with a queen bed and a shared bathroom. This level also contains a full-sized kitchen, large dining room table and a spacious family room with a fireplace, TV and plenty of room for gathering with the whole family. The loft is the perfect space for the kids to sleep. It has 4 twin beds both in one conjoined space for that fun sleepover type feel. On the other side of the loft is the master bedroom featuring a king bed and a private deck that looks over the lake with a view of the dock and fire pit. Guests will have access to the entire house with a private fire pit and outdoor areas but will share access of the dock with the house next door which can also be rented as a pair for getting multiple groups together. Look for the listing titled "Hidden Bear Cabin" for availability and pricing. Guests will also have access to the Lake Side Lodge which is for community use. Here you'll also be able to find rentals and food. I give my guests space but i live in the area year around and am available when needed. This cabin is sure to fulfill your dreams of lakeside living in the Rockies. This area is famous for boating, cross country skiing & snowmobiling. Yellowstone National Park is a 40 minute drive through beautiful country. There is a common lodge on the island available for you to use and go out to dine. It doesn't get better than this. Located on the calm, inviting Island Park Reservoir waters with Blue Ribbon fishing just down the way and a semi private beach and dock right out the back door. Guests will need their own transportation in order to get to the cabin, stores, restaurants, and Yellowstone National Park as there are no public transportation or ride share services available in the area. There is free on-site parking. NOTE: This property sits on the cove side of the Island, and later in the summer the water level can drop & recede based on previous snow levels and use. Please note that there is not cable TV available at the cabin. Cable TV is available at the Lakeside Lodge should you wish. Cell phones do work at the cabin should you need them.

We really enjoyed our time. House was perfect for our family of 5. Lake was great and the cove was nice and quiet for my kids. The power to the house was accidentally cut as part of nearby construction and we had our night without power reimbursed. This was much appreciated.

The Location was good to explore Yellowstone from the West gate. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The Kitchen was well stocked. It was nice to have a washer and dryer. Lots of sleeping quarters. We managed fine with one bathroom for 4 adults. The water in the shower was warm and had great water pressure. It is unfortunate the water level in the lake was so low in September. The description noted this, but if I were to book again, I would choose differently based on this plus the cost of this home per night, service fee's and cleaning fee. Though the home looks clean on the surface, it could use a deep clean. There was a layer of dust on one of the window sills by the couch that I cleaned off and there were things forgotten and left under the bed and the clothing rack in the bedroom from previous guests along with many crumbs and food particles under under the couch. I normally don't get on the floor to look, but we had misplaced our phone charger and was looking for it. If you are allergic to dust, like myself and my husband make sure to bring your allergy medicine.

This was the perfect location for our family to stay while we explored Yellowstone. The drive to the West Yellowstone Entrance was beautiful and we enjoyed looking for wildlife along the way. We loved the cabin so much that we actually chose to skip sightseeing one day and stayed around the cabin the entire day to play on the lake and explore the Island Park area. The cabin was well stocked, clean, and the inside is so charming.
