Wir wurden herzlich von unserer Gastgeberin in Empfang genommen. Auch wenn das Haus zweihundert Jahre alt ist, ist die Ausstattung exzellent: Waschmaschine, Trockner, ... sogar einen Air fryer gibt es! Alle Räume haben elektrische Heizungen, man muss also kein Feuer im Kamin machen. Ein Sack Torf für das Feuer ist gratis, jeder weitere kostet 5€, was wir sehr fair fanden (wir haben jeden Abend einen Sack verfeuert). Die Lage ist fantastisch für einen Tagesausflug zu den Kilkee Cliffs, den Bridges of Ross und dem Loop Head Lighthouse.
Der Kamin raucht sehr ins Zimmer rein, alles, was im gleichen Raum ist, riecht tagelang nach Torfrauch.

We loved the peat fire in the big fireplace! Biddy gave us very good advice about visits and tips for shopping, eating and visiting.
Second bed in the children room could be updated!

The cottage was so interesting to stay in. It brought me right back to chilhood memories visiting old cottages like these. We loved the turf fire, the peaceful garden and the horses in the field. Delighted to be able to show the children how many of their relatives would have lived. It was on a quiet road so lovely for walking. The host was wonderful and a fountain of knowledge on the old customs.

The house is very quaint, cosy when the fire is on but not worth the price point.
The products left in the kitchen like dish soap, spray, coffee, tea could have been topped up or replaced.
