The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. He picked us up from the airport and drove us to the accommodation, which was a great start to our stay in Tahiti. We also had some very pleasant conversations with him, as he lives next door, and he later kindly drove us to the ferry terminal for our trip to Moorea.
The accommodation was clean, comfortable and had a really nice atmosphere. It is cleverly made from two converted containers, which I only noticed because of the dimensions – the design works surprisingly well.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The beach is nearby, and early in the morning we even saw sharks in the water, which was a memorable experience.
There is also a U Express within walking distance, which is very convenient for groceries. We walked from the accommodation to the museum as well; it is a little far on foot, but definitely possible.
Overall, this was a very pleasant first experience after arriving in Tahiti. The friendly owner, airport pickup, cleanliness and relaxed atmosphere made us feel very welcome. And there is also a lovely dog!
Only a very minor issue: sometimes after flushing, the toilet continued running and making a trickling sound. Pressing the button again usually stopped it, but otherwise quite a lot of water could be wasted. It would probably be worth checking the mechanism.
Apart from this small maintenance issue, we had a very pleasant stay.

Wir waren das zweite Mal in dieser Unterkunft und es war wieder sehr schön. Die Familie verwöhnte uns mit Früchten und anderen Leckereien.
