One of the best boutique spa hotels we've ever stayed at
A hidden gem, Saffron Gardens, is easily one of the best boutique spa hotels we've ever stayed at. The peace and calm hits you as you walk through the door, and the reception staff were lovely and welcoming. The pool area is stunning, the restaurant food was delicious, and it was lovely to meet chef Kelly and hear her story during our stay. Morning yoga with Jenn provided a great start to the day, and a massage and aloe treatment was a perfect way to end the day. The room interior is neutral bohemian chic, with a huge bed, his and hers sinks and a large shower. There was a lounge swing out the front of the property to relax in after a swim We extended our stay we loved it so much. Thank you Saffron Gardens

Amazing stay.
I had a wonderful stay at Saffron Garden. The location was perfect for exploring the nearby attractions, such as the falconry camp, the Malindi museum, and the Vasco da Gama pillar. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious, especially the scrambled eggs. I also loved the garden, the art, and the vibes of this magical place. I highly recommend Saffron Garden to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience in the Kenyan Riviera.

It was alright!
The property is amazing , love the decor .
Some of the waiters are rude , one of the receptionist doesn’t want to asked , every time went to ask for something she was unpleasant to speak too . The worst is the billing of food, receptionist made a mistake and on speaker phone she said she made a mistake then 10 minutes later she showed up and said that she didn’t say that . Twice ) and the other receptionist said , you actually said it, that you made a mistake. So at the end the receipt could not be located and I ended up paying for the meal which was less . Absolutely disappointed.

Malindi oriental sanctuary
If you want to disconnect this is the place to go. Excellent weather and a relaxing holiday. African hospitality at its best. The hotel is very quiet. Wonderful, accommodating staff. Perfect match between resort and nature. Large tropical garden. The pool and bar are excellent. Nice, clean rooms. Fine Lebanese restaurant with oriental music. We had a great time and took some inspiring yoga classes. The hotel can arrange a taxi or tuk-tuk to the places of interest (Uber does not work). If there is anything you need, somebody will find it for you.
We had to request a room change on arrival as our first room had mold and smelled stuffy. We were lucky that another room was available and it was much nicer. Malindi beach, 15 minutes from the hotel, was covered in seaweed. For a better coastal experience, it's best to make the 30-minute drive to the spectacular Watamu coast or to take a boat trip to the islands. It is well worth a visit and can be organized by the hotel. It would be great if the hotel restaurant offered more European cuisine / more diverse Mediterranean cuisine. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we will undoubtedly be going back again!
