The property was absolutely stunning, as was the villa. It was a perfect location - just enough outside of town to be out of the business but close enough to walk to the store or go out to eat with ease. The house is really cool- built in the 1920s, it still has a lot of its original furniture and feels very authentic.
They also had a ton of bikes and one even had a child seat affixed so we could ride around town.
Our son had a great time running around the grounds and swimming in the pool. We could also walk right across the board walk and swim in the lake. The owners were very communicative and even went out of their way to buy a blender for the property so we could make smoothies and piña coladas 🎉
If you stay here during summer time, it can get VERY VERY hot. It was about 80 degrees at night inside. We had to keep the windows open, but most didn’t have screens, so we were all eaten up by mosquitos. Also, when the wind slightly picks up every morning around 4 am, all of the windows around the house would start slamming shut and would wake everyone up because there wasn’t anything to keep the windows open.
They provided fans but it was still uncomfortable. We also slept in the downstairs room which was turned into a make shift bedroom from an original living room, and there’s just a curtain separating the space from the main living area and kitchen so we didn’t have much privacy. The bed was also pretty uncomfortable and very squeaky.

Villa Schlosser was everything we hoped it would be. The location is stunning and so well placed to walk into the old town for beautiful restaurants, shops and bars. The ferry to Limone was almost on the doorstep. We stayed for the last week of October and the villa was warm and welcoming as was our lovely host Ana who was waiting for us when we arrived to show us around and was also always available to message with any queries. She recommended some great places to eat. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay in Malcesine and Villa Schlosser. We have made so many magical memories with our family at Villa Schlosser. We would love to return one day.
There was barely anything we didn't like but if we were to change anything it would just be an upgrade to more comfortable lounge furniture as we stayed in the autumn so we used the lounge (with it's beautiful view of the lake) a lot.
Also a little table and chairs on the balcony would be most welcome to enjoy the view.

Location was fabulous. The villa was exceptional. The pool and garden were extremely well equipped for a very relaxed stay. If there is a better view from a garage, we'd be amazed.
We were rather reluctant to drive along the lakeside walkway to access the property without confirmation from our lovely hosts that we had not misunderstood the access instructions.
