Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Food was good although there was a limited selection. Location was brilliant and the hotel provided some excellent local information. The walk down to Hawkshead was lovely.

I stayed in number 6 Rose Howe. A very tiny room with a very tiny single bed and very tiny bathroom but I was not paying a tiny price. Sorry to say but the pillows were not very comfortable either. The room was right next to the buildings door entrance and it could get a bit noisy with other guests coming and going. Having said this, I would stay at Yewfield again but I would make sure I got a better room.

Beautiful tranquil peaceful location. Very well kept and beautiful garden, full of flowers, done really well. The hosts amazing at accomodating our requirements. The food was heaven, especially the dinner, the gnocchi was lush. A large dinning room, with original character. Tables are spaced apart well. It doesn't feel cramped, again a lot of character.

We asked for a large double bed, but instead we got twin beds. But it worked out well as we put the beds together.
