The location couldn't be better. Right in the center of town along the Mekong riverside, it puts everything within easy walking distance. But what really made this stay memorable was the atmosphere. This isn't a modern hotel, and that's exactly its charm. The building is in traditional Luang Prabang style, and it lets you experience the town the way it's meant to be felt. Sitting out on the balcony and looking around at the old rooftops and quiet streets, I kept thinking, "Yes, I'm really in Luang Prabang." It's the kind of feeling a newer, more generic hotel simply can't give you.
There's no restaurant on site, but if you order breakfast, the staff will take you to a lovely restaurant on the Mekong, where you can choose from their menu. Starting the day with a riverside breakfast was a real treat. The bathroom appears to have been recently renovated and was clean and comfortable. The Wi-Fi isn't the fastest, but it was perfectly fine for everyday use. The staff were kind and helpful, and I booked a minivan to the railway station through reception at a very reasonable price.
Overall, the facilities are a bit old-fashioned, though that goes hand in hand with the traditional character. The one thing I really missed was a fridge in the room, as there was nowhere to keep water or drinks cold.

It’s great location, close to the night market and just by the river. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When I requested to change the room because I found bed bugs in the first one late at night, there was no issue. Breakfast is served by the river in a restaurant and it’s good, coffee very average (for Laos standard).
The beds are not very comfy due to old mattress, for one night okay. Upper rooms have more light, rooms on the ground floor are rather dark. Even though the bedding seemed clean, I found bed bugs in my room. I got a new room, but would be good to be checking on this.
