Functioning air conditioning and appliances made our stay functional especially with a child. The host did provide detailed explanation and videos of how to get into the property. The listing matched the description and photos
There were so many mosquitos in the house. I am not sure how they were getting in as we were so careful to close doors and windows but they were still getting in. We had 5 guests staying for 4 nights with only 1 towel per guest (one of our guests was a baby so extra towels are always needed). Unfortunately the host let us know that a towel refresh would be an extra charge. As an Airbnb host myself, I believe it's part of standard hospitality to accommodate reasonable requests like one refresh of towels during a longer stay. For the bedding, we had to sleep in sheets only the first night as we could not find heavier bedding and were quite cold. We eventually found comforters in a closet in the other bedroom. There was also quite a bit of dirt on the main rug in the living room which was not ideal with a little baby trying to play on the floor. Finally, our only way to get in and out was 1 physical key which we had to pass back and forth between our group. This resulted in getting stuck outside of the unit a few times (with baby) and ultimately resulted in us not locking the door at all times which is a bit of a security concern but was necessary so people could access the home even if other members of the group with the key were out. This could be easily fixed with an installed lock pad where guests use a code to enter vs. a physical key.
