What an absolute gem of a property!
From the moment we arrived, we were completely blown away by the incredible views. Driving up the driveway and seeing the beautiful gardens with the mountains stretching out in the background literally took our breath away. The setting is simply stunning.
We were very lucky that the property was relatively quiet during our two-night stay, and at times it genuinely felt as though we had the whole place to ourselves. We only saw one other guest during our stay, which made it feel incredibly peaceful and private.
The staff were exceptional. Everyone was so friendly, attentive and accommodating, and nothing seemed too much trouble. We enjoyed the pool on both days and were incredibly fortunate to have it completely to ourselves. Being able to relax by the pool in such beautiful surroundings was wonderful. We were even served wine by the pool, which was such a lovely and unexpected touch and really demonstrated the level of attentive service.
The property itself is beautiful and furnished to an exceptional standard. There is a lovely outside terrace, where we were fortunate enough to enjoy both breakfast and dinner during our stay. Having meals outside while taking in the surroundings was a real highlight.
Breakfast was also excellent, with a generous selection of food, including lovely ham and cheese, and freshly squeezed orange juice!
The air conditioning in the bedroom was another huge bonus, particularly as the rooms did become quite warm during our stay. It made a real difference and ensured we were comfortable at night.
Overall, this really is a hidden gem. The location feels wonderfully remote and peaceful — quite literally in the middle of nowhere — yet the property has the feel and quality of a boutique hotel, combined with the personal and attentive service you would hope for from a much smaller establishment.
