Perfect place to step out of the rat race!

Great location and friendly service

good location convenient to break the trip between panama city and san blas. We had dinner on site which was good. Early breakfast was also good. We did a wonderful night tour looking for frogs and other nocturnal animals - rubber boots and lights provided. Basic cabins but perfectly adequate. Very friendly staff. Recommended

Beautiful remote location, good value, bird watching, and people.

If you're looking for accomodations in the middle of nature, this is your place. Very good bird and monkey watching. Friendly, helpful, hard-working staff. Comfortable if basic room with an spectacular view. I loved staying at Konsenda San Blas and I hope to return. However I need to note that it is not for everyone. Guests who want more standard hotel-type amenities might not like a spartan one room cabaña, or the separate shared bathroom/shower area across the driveway area (3 large toilet stalls, 3 large shower stalls). I found the food delicious (I took 5 meals over my 2 night stay), artfully presented, and inexpensive. Willing to accommodate an early breakfast for birders or people leaving early for San Blas. The wildlife watching from the open deck area was great, with a lot of birds and titi monkeys. Bird watchers will appreciate that Yeral has created a blind/hide where he feeds a couple of very difficult-to-see species (Olive backed Quail Dove, Gray Chested Dove, sometimes Little Tinamou). Rubber boots are provided free (definitely necessary for the trails!). There are fairly extensive trails, which other guests told me they liked, especially the secluded swimming pond. A nicer feeder set up to view from the deck/common area would be awesome! From the deck of my cabaña I saw Short-billed Pigeon, Yellow Throated Toucan and a bunch of hummingbirds. Location is a short drive from the park and other spectacular bird watching. Pretty good cell/mobile coverage at the property.

Overall the place needs some repairs. I was glad to see a carpenter was replacing boards yesterday morning. There is an upstairs common area that looks into the canopy of the surrounding trees (could be awesome bird watching!) and some exceptional views, but portions of it are roped off because of missing planks and I don't remember places to sit. There are some places on both floors where an inattentive guest might not notice (especially in the evening) a large step down - and one place where you could accidentally walk off the deck to an almost 2m drop- there should at least be a rope there. The door to my room was quite difficult to close properly, and the boards at the step onto the deck became dangerously slippery with all the rain. The rain has been exceptionally high this February, so trails were very muddy. Though they are otherwise well maintained, guests who are not sure-footed might find them unusable when wet. It was difficult keep clean feet when walking from the cabaña to the common area. For some guests, lack of English could be an issue, though Google Translate can get you what you need. I think they have Starlink internet but it was not functioning.

Amazing surroundings in the jungle . Nice jungle walks . Beautiful sleeping by the forest

Food wasn't special , very basic and expensive( 10$ for cold pasta with chicken)... Maybe we wasn't lucky that day . The experience in general was beautiful.❤️
