Overall, our stay was pleasant. The hotel is still very new. I believe only a few months old. So most, if not all its furnishings are still brand new. The hotel is well kept. Very Clean, including our room. The Staff, especially the Front Office guy who checked us in was very nice. He provided us information for a good place for dinner nearby since none was offered at the hotel that evening. He was also the one who brought us bed linen and extra towel for my daughter who used the pullout couch. Yes, our stay was pleasant but it was far from perfect, As I mentioned, the hotel is brand new. There was a very strong odor of "new construction smell" Not a pleasant one. Smelled of paint and plaster. The walls were thin that we could hear the occupants of the next room. Their conversation and the tv show they were watching. The utility panel on the ceiling above the closet/mini fridge was left open. One of the towels was very worn out and torn. Breakfast was included but we wished they offered more items. Overall our stay wasn't bad. Friendly Staff. Very good service. We plan to come back for future stays..

Beautiful hotel that will hopefully be the catalyst for revival of this charming and historical riverfront town.

New hotel on the Hudson River. There was only a bench and a bed for seating - the only flat surfaces were the side tables next to the bed and a small shelf under the tv. It rained overnight and since my room was next to the hotel entry way canopy, I heard the rain drops falling onto the metal roof-top and got very little sleep. That being said, I'm sure once they get more furniture and it weren't raining, this would be a great spot! Staff was very friendly.

Great place to stay! Only complaint was no ice on the floors. Had to go to the desk in the lobby.

Our stay at this riverside hotel for NY eve was perfect. A restaurant on the top floor and a tavern 100 ft from the hotel. Loved how they repurposed materials from once was a factory. Great place for a wedding.

Excellent stay, nice interiors.

Nice, new property. Friendly staff. Nice setting by the river. Pillows could be better quality. Only one robe in room with 2 beds. But biggest issue was being overcharged for the room for the second straight stay. Seriously, watch your CC charges carefully here. Wish it wasn’t such an issue because nearly everything else is nice or adequate.

A new and stylish hotel. It was a great room at a good price. However, I might suggest some nuts or pretzels at the hotel bar.

Very cozy , comfortable hotel, new facility, lobby is beautiful, right on Hudson River, staff very helpful. Breakfast available but no hot options. The town itself not so happening, nothing to do around especially in cold weather. Might be better for summer and fall. But we enjoyed our stay as we wanted some quiet time away from City. Would definitely come again.

To be on the banks of the Hudson River, at its most beautiful, breathtaking, and atmospheric point, and...to have a beautiful room....showcasing the spendors of this beautiful River...were Awesome!!! The experience we had at the James Newbury Hotel was 5 Stars...Personable, friendly staff, a plentiful Continental Breakfast, Luxurious Comfort in our superb room, we will definitely make James Newbury our choice each & every time we visit!!! Stellar!

This hotel property is such an amazing new addition to the thriving downtown of coxsackie. The rooms are beautiful, the lobby is sleek and breakfast in the morning is an added treat! We especially love the automatic window blinds. The location proves to be perfect, easily walkable to various different restaurants, shops, and the nice scenic park. We can't wait to visit again!

Staff was very unhelpful. When we went into room, realized it was two standard queens instead of the deluxe king room with tub we booked. When we called down to front desk, they rudely said they had no more rooms and that’s the room we get. I explained it wasn’t the room we booked but they didn’t care and any room booked is only a request, despite the fact you pick which room and pay accordingly for type of room upon booking. The rate also was not discounted nor any remedy offered, Staff could have handled the situation much better instead of making it the customer’s problem and simply being rude.

Clean, quiet, up to date, large room and bath, good restaurant next door, immediate attention to toilet issue. Nice breakfast. Good value

I would certainly describe this hotel as “boutique”. The standard 2 Queen Bedrooms are spacious with an industrial appeal that fits given the building’s history. We were a bit disappointed that after arriving in the late afternoon, there was no food or bar service avalable-and there was the bar starring back at us from behind the front desk! There is a restaurant on site, so perhaps just closed on our night. I’m suggesting that they provide vending machine options for those of us traveling and not wanting get back in our car to hunt down a dinner spot,

Amazing property and staff!

Loved the room, it was perfect for a romantic getaway with an amazing view of the river and fall foliage. Having auto shades at the touch of a button made us feel like we were living lavishly, and the tub was great for a soak together. Really really great atmosphere and walking distance to a few delicious eateries. There was even free coffee and muffins downstairs. It wasn't enough to knock a star off, but we could hear the family next door quite well through the wall when they got in. It did not bother us really, but with the wrong people it could have been unpleasant. Otherwise a great stay and we would definitely come back.

Excellent place. Top top luxury. Clean, beautiful decoration. The view of the Hudson River, and fall colours is unbelievable. Best service ever. We will be back.

Wonderful stay at this new property. Beautifully designed lobby/bar area, very spacious rooms, comfy bed. Continental breakfast included could be bit better with more options. All in all, highly recommend :)
