A beautiful traditional Japanese farmhouse, lovingly and painstakingly restored by its current owners, Ikuya-san and Yuki-san. We especially loved the traditional hot bath experience!
Our countryside guesthouse stay was one of the highlights of our 13-day Japan trip. You can truly feel the warmth, heart and care that have gone into creating this lovely homestay. It felt like a home away from home.
Breakfast was wholesome and nourishing, made even more special by the experience of collecting fresh eggs from their farm.

細部にこだわりが散りばめられており、代々続く建物を大切にしつつ、家具も小物もお部屋のレイアウトもオシャレでした！何よりもオーナーさんご夫婦が素敵です！
五右衛門風呂のお風呂炊きや釜で焚くご飯もお手伝いさせていただき、ニワトリとの戯れと産みたて卵を採らせてもらったり、とにかく息子達も大興奮で私達もすごく楽しませてもらいました！もう1泊したいくらいでした！

The place is in a remote location, very calm and with a lot of charm. The hosts are lovely and very kind. Their advise for a veggie restaurant in the nearby town was precious and pretty good. Their breakfast, made from their own grown vegetables and eggs from their chicken, was a “délice”. We wish we would have stayed more than one night !

The experience of staying at a farm stay is refreshing. Located in the countryside means the air is fresh and we got to see stars in the night. Hosts are friendly enough but couldn’t converse well with tourists who can’t speak Japanese.
We thought we would have the entire house to ourselves but it seems the hosts were in the other room till late. The house also has too much of personal belongings like soft toys for the hosts’ kid, which makes the entire house cluttered and untidy. Other than the room and the toilets, the rest of the house seems unfinished, with holes in the ceiling of the roof eave.
However, we wish the hosts all the best!
