🏫To explore nearby charming towns, hiking trails, waterfalls, and restaurants, having a car is essential. Luckily, everything’s an easy drive from your peaceful mountain home base, Sylvan Lea! Getting to the Cabin is easy and scenic. The easy access road is fully paved and gently sloped—No steep grades or gravel-- No 4WD or mountain driving experience is required. Perfect for first-time mountain travelers!

✈️ Asheville Regional Airport is 55 minutes away, making arrival smooth and convenient for out-of-town guests.

🌄 The Blue Ridge Parkway—one of the most iconic drives in the U.S.—is also just 30 minutes from the Cabin and offers stunning scenic overlooks and nature stops.

Welcome to the mountains—where nature is part of the experience! You may see deer, turkeys, squirrels, or other wildlife. Unless you are Teddy Roosevelt, please do not attempt to pet! Bears are very rare, but please please keep your distance and avoid leaving food inside your cars or outside.

🐞 BUGS & INSECTS

Our cabin is regularly treated and professionally cleaned.

Due to the natural setting, occasional insects (Spider webs, ladybugs, stink bugs, etc.) may appear—especially with doors or windows open. We do our best to consistently clean up after these visitors!)

🔊 NEIGHBORHOOD SOUNDS

While private and secluded, occasional mountain sounds may occur (distant dogs, roosters, lawn equipment), as sound travels more in the mountains.
