Extremely disappointing. Unhelpful host.

The location is very good, close to Cabopino marina and the beach, with easy parking. The living area and terrace are a decent size and the apartment is well presented in the photos. The owner did attend on our final day, saw the issues for herself and applied anti-cockroach gel to the skirting boards.

There were cockroaches inside the apartment every day of our stay. We photographed them on our first night on 18 July, again on 20 July and again on 22 July, in the bedroom, the kitchen and the living area, as well as on the patio at night and in the communal entrance. After we left, the co-host confirmed in writing that cockroaches had appeared in this apartment and in others in the complex. The second bedroom was unusable. The mattress was broken, the headboard cushions were dirty and marked, and there were blood stains on the bedding. My partner and I slept on the sofa for the whole week. The room had clearly not been cleaned before we arrived. There was a restaurant receipt dated 28 May in the bedside drawer, almost two months before our check-in, old chewing gum stuck behind the headboard, dust and hair in the gap behind the bed, a used tissue folded in with the spare bed linen in the hallway wardrobe, and a used false eyelash in the bathroom. The listing says the apartment is professionally cleaned and inspected before every check-in. The iron's soleplate was encrusted with burnt residue. It marked one shirt and the steam vents spat dirty water onto a second, ruining both. We reported everything in writing at the time and invited the property to inspect three times, but nobody came until the day we left. We checked out two nights early.
