Dale End cottage was such a lovely and beautiful place. Me and partner booked this place last minute we was happy from the start. The welcome wine and biscuits was such a lovely touch. Claire provided tea, coffee and hot chocolate which I liked to see as not many places provide hot chocolate. We qas very happy how clean it was. I would definitely recommend staying.
The toilet didnt flush very well but part from that everything was perfect

Dale end cottage is in a great position on the edge of the village with a beautiful view and has street parking outside the cottage. The kitchen plus utility room are well equipped with everything we needed (and more). Being an old stone cottage it stayed cool even in the heatwave. Brassington itself is a great base from which to explore the peaks and has many footpaths fanning out from the village itself so we hardly used the car during our 4 day stay. We found the villagers very friendly and welcoming and enjoyed several meals in the Old Gate Inn, a pub that also has a tiny shop inside selling basic essentials plus delicious ice cream!
We managed fine but the steps down to the back door and internal stairs are quite steep.
