We chose Tropicara Resort because the location was quite central to the attractions in the region and also because it has a pool (which was clean, well maintained and most welcome after some hot days of hiking). The staff are all very friendly and accommodating and will attend to whatever you need! They create a nice welcoming vibe at breakfast and dinner.

Spacious rooms and very friendly staff. We had Breakfast and Lunch and it was excellent. They cater for your needs and can cook anything you request.

The property was very nice and clean,and the pool was a perfect temperature
Only issue was it was about a 20-30min tuk tuk into town

Loved our 4-night stay at Tropicara! The family running the hotel are kind and the service is exceptional. The facilities are impeccably clean, our room was huge and very comfortable. The highlight for us was the food. We had Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner at the property every day, and every time it was different and delicious. The chef takes absolute pride in his cooking and always had a little surprise with every dish. We also thoroughly enjoyed the pool to cool off.
Be mindful that the location is slightly outside the nearby towns, which also makes the property quiet and peaceful. Would suggest to the hotel to add some cushions to the sun loungers by the pool.
