Located in Winterton-on-Sea, this charming cottage for $270 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. The Old Village Shop is a beautiful three bedroom cottage close to the beach and village amenities in Winterton-on-Sea. The long sandy beach in Winterton-on-Sea is a 5 minute walk from the cottage. In the village you'll also find a fish & chip shop, Poppy's cafe, the vilage shop, post office, Fisherman's Return Pub and food is also available at the beach. The cottage is perfectly placed to explore this beautiful part of Norfolk. Enter the property into the spacious lounge and dining area with comfortable seating for all. There is a TV with Freesat, blu-ray player, selection of DVDs and games. The dining area and lounge are separated by the main stairs. From here walk through to the well equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge freezer. Through the kitchen you will find the back staircase, downstairs WC and utility room with washer/dryer. The front stairs lead from the lounge up to the first floor landing. Turning right leads to the front twin bedroom with two 6' single beds. Turn left to the main bedroom with king size bed and views towards the coast. Through the bedroom is the large Jack and Jill en suite comprising of bath, shower, WC and washbasin. This bathroom leads through to the back landing where there is a further double bedroom and main bathroom with large double shower, WC and washbasin. This bedroom and bathroom can be reached by the back staircase. All bedrooms have black out blinds at each window. There is access to the enclosed garden from the kitchen where you can hear the waves from the sea close by. There is a seating area and astro turf grass. There is parking at the front of the property for one car. Further parking can be found in the village. Up to 3 dogs are welcome at The Old Village Shop at no additional charge. High chair and travel cot can be available on request. There’s an excellent choice of walks right from the doorstep, and Winterton Dunes is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). From the end of November to the beginning of January it’s pupping season for the local grey seal colony, with literally thousands of them on Horsey beach just 10 mins drive from Winterton. It’s an amazing sight to see. For cyclists there’s a great choice of routes and trails to enjoy. A little further afield the Norfolk Broads offers scenic boat trips or hire your own boat for the day. There’s also fishing, kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding available. For families, the seaside town of Gt Yarmouth is only a 15 minute drive away, with a sandy beach, end of pier entertainment, Sea Life centre, amusement arcades, pleasure beach, bowling, cinemas, Venetian Waterways, crazy golf and much more. We also recommend the award winning BeWILDerwood an outdoor tree house adventure park with zip wires, jungle bridges, marsh walks and boat rides - just a 20 minute drive away near Horning.
