We had an excellent stay at Peacock Riverside. The place is beautiful, surrounded by nature, peaceful, and the perfect place to relax after a safari.
The room was spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. Both the dinner and breakfast prepared by the family were absolutely delicious, with authentic Sri Lankan flavors.
A huge thank you to Sujee and his family for their exceptional hospitality. They are incredibly kind and make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The safari organized by Sujee was fantastic and will remain one of the highlights of our trip.
We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Udawalawe. If we ever come back, we will definitely stay here again.

Le logement est vraiment au cœur de la nature et nos hôtes étaient vraiment accueillants.
La nourriture était délicieuse, nous avons pris nos 2 repas du soir et s'était délicieux!
Le logement est très isolé du centre ville.
Cependant il est possible de s'y rendre en taxi ou tuctuc.
Il y a peu de restaurant dans la région mais il est possible de manger sur place et la nourriture y est délicieuse

Lovely peaceful setting, close to the national park.
Staff were nice and made great food! We enjoyed joining the owner to make the curries, which was really well priced.
Organised a reasonably priced safari tour for us.
The aircon was good in our room.
Our rooms smelt of damp which has made our clothes smell the same.
The bed was a bit short for us and so the mosquito net didn't fit properly.
