In the middle of July 2026, I stayed for three nights at the Chillaru Resort. It was such an enjoyable experience for many reasons. First, it is located in the middle of a mountainous forest away from the noise of cities and highways. The experience was both a feast for the eyes and allows contemplation for the soul. Second, all of the staff is extremely well trained, friendly, and welcoming. Every request was answered in a timely and professional way. Third,the facility is beautiful — from the guest rooms to the pool to the dining room and the public areas. Anyone looking for a restful vacation in a full service resort, surrounded by nature and fresh air should consider the Chillaru Resort.

I liked that the room was clean and spacious. There was peace and quiet. The bathroom was well equipped and had a great shower with hot water etc.
I liked some paces of the property and the pool specially.
I like the prompt room service.
Didn't like the very mixed up decor. Each place had different kind of decor. Most indoor areas like dining, banquet etc were smelling due to rain. There are not many open spaces, each place is filled up with artefacts and decor items. The varnish on the wood everywhere makes it look cheap and not classy. Overall there is not one idea and thought that is seen in the property. Very mixed up pieces have been placed here and there.
The food was also not great for the price. While all the dishes are as what's mentioned in the menu the preparation was not good. Things were mostly too spicy and had too much masala etc.

Location of the property is amazing. Staff is super friendly and so is the owner. The chef is amazingly good and goes way and beyond to provide fresh food. So are the servers. The swimming pool is very good, neat and the view is amazing. Overall a very good place to relax and spend your holidays.
A bit of scare about the monkeys who visit you in the balcony often. That restricts you to enjoy your tea in the balcony. I would have loved if the spa was managed better. I couldn't avail that service while as I was looking forward to the same.

location of resort is not good very ,far from Kasauli
housekeeping is. not gud every where there is dust on furnitures , pool side open sitting area etc
