The Sands is the most beautiful 3 bedroom 3 bathroom villa with privacy and a pool a little north of Sengiggi in Kerandangan. The villa is spacious and modern, beautifully decorated with a well equipped kitchen. Good restaurants and warungs are close by, either south from the villa, or north. Local fruit and veggies are available around the corner. The location is excellent. The beds and pillows are so comfortable with AC and ceiling fans in the bedrooms and large ceiling fans dowstairs. Plenty of pool towels are available and books and board games for thorough relaxing. A big TV with Netflix etc. is downstairs too. Everything is so clean.
Ange and Matt are the Australian owners who live behind the property. They are so helpful with directions and recommendations for restaurants, warungs, places to go and things to do. They do speak some Indonesian as well as English. We stayed for 10 days and it was the best holiday we have ever had!
If I could give The Sands a galaxy of stars 🌟 I would.

Wonderful to stay with Matthew and Angela...not a beach house on the sands but a comfy home a block from the beach road.
Improved signage (directions) would make initial arrival easier as Google maps was a bit confused:-)

Ruim opgezet, schoon en de eigenaar Matt vriendelijke man ook de andere personeel die daar zijn..erg behulpzaam. Klein zwembad maar voor verkoeling prima er zijn ook mooie baddoek om bij het zwembad te relaxen op zitzakken.
Dat je niet automatisch schone handdoeken krijgt wel als je het vraagt ...maar als je er 6 dagen bent zou het fijn zijn dat ze bv na 3 dag verschoond worden automatisch.

This place is paradise... Warm welcome and nothing was a problem. The sands had everything we could ask for and more. It's a great place for a base, if you want to do a little or a lot. The owners matt and ange has all the info from the best places to dine, activities to do and local recommendations. Their staff are also lovely and super helpful.
