The room was great, as the location, and service. The young woman was very pleasant and was able to check us in at 11:30 am versus 3 pm

The breakfast was little disappointing.

Location was walking distance to friends home in Carol gardens. When water dispenser was broken, staff gave us bottled water complimentary. Staff was friendly and helpful when I needed bandaids.

I had to ask three times for the soap to be replenished in our room. It was empty when we arrived. Breakfast was mediocre. There was a person who was verbally offensive in the eating area, I believe he had come in off the streets. Cooks should not have to handle this, not sure who would but it was hard for my family to have food so we took it back to our room to eat.

TRU Hilton provided a nice breakfast located on the lower level of the building. The staff was friendly and maintained the breakfast food. I appreciated that was able to "hang out" in the comfortable setting after a checked-out of the hotel and before I departed.

I requested a taxi for the next day, when I arrived for my overnight stay. I was scheduled to board a ship at Red Hook the following afternoon. The front desk staff arranged my transportation. It was not a taxi, when it arrived, but an unmarked vehicle. The driver told me he knew the destination...I looked at the "Google Map" on the dash and we were heading for the tunnel back to Manhattan. I brought it to his attention and acknowledged, "I made a mistake," as we entered the backed up traffic in the tunnel. We were able to turn back to Brooklyn and I did arrive in time to board ship. The seemed distracted during unnerving ride that could have been avoided if the hotel staff had call for the taxi that I has request. My overnight stay was disrupted by loud conversation in the room next to me. I woke up several times during the night due to the extreme noise. "How did you get in here?" asked on the the two male voices that I heard through out of the night. I told the front desk staff of my experience in the morning. They expressed their apologies.
