I booked Onong's Homestay for a stopover in Tomohon as I wanted a local experience rather than a hotel. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay and I would definitely come again.
The Good:
Check-in & Service: Quick and effortless check-in. The owner and his family were very kind, welcoming, and friendly.
The Hut & Comfort: Beautifully built wooden hut secured by a metal lock, featuring a great terrace with a comfortable lounge sofa. The bed was good for a comfortable sleep.
Ventilation & Mosquito Net: Due to the open-air design, air conditioning or extra ventilation was not required. The provided mosquito net worked well.
Bathroom & Grounds: Sufficient bathroom with warm water for the shower. The homestay features a nice open space with great decoration throughout.
Breakfast: Included with the stay, featuring a tasty banana pancake and coffee.
The entrance was not easy to find on arrival because there was a different cafe name displayed at the front. However, the owner directed me quickly once reached.
