老舗の和風旅館らしく外観、内装もレトロで落ち着いた雰囲気が良かった。食事の量もちょうど良く郷土食豊かで美味しい。スタッフも食事時間を考慮してくれたり写真を撮ってくれたりと親切だった。
6人での宿泊でベッドが２つ、残り4人は布団だったが、敷布団が薄くマットなどあれば良かった。

Hotel Interior is beautiful with an inside zen garden and garden views.
The traditional premium breakfast was authentic and good quality. You have to be open to trying out new things (especially seafood) though.
We liked our big room with own bathroom, a little balcony, lounge area with two chairs and table, a lot of wall cabinets, tea making utensils and fridge.
Wish we could have stayed longer to make use of all of that!
A lot of bath amenities were provided in the rooms and we received fresh towels, Yukata and Tabi every day.
The hotel is quite far from Hakodate port, but Yukura shrine, the airport and Aeon mall are very close. There are also enough public transport options.
You can take a stroll next to the river to the beach - wouldn't recommend swimming but we found a lot of interesting things and beautiful shells.
Onsen looked nice, but too hot for me (I am sensitive).
Just a small thing that annoys us often with futon bedding is the loose blanket cover with the big hole on top. When you move the blanket it will come off easily which is impractical.
