This feels like my home in Tskaltubo. If I ever go back there - and I definitely will - I really hope this apartment is available for me again. Once, a GoTrip driver detoured through Tskaltubo on the way to Martvili just to share a place he truly loves. Right then, I realized that if I ever needed a quiet, peaceful spot with plenty of fresh air and greenery, this would be it. So I came here once, then a second time...
It’s a pretty unique town, full of old ruins from a world that collapsed just about 30 years ago, not centuries ago. Someday investors will buy up these areas and redo everything, but nobody knows when that's gonna happen. For now, it’s a goldmine of abandoned buildings that are fascinating to check out. People even use the most stunning ones as backdrops for wedding photos. The park itself is kept in perfect shape, and the paths are swept every single day (though public restrooms are an issue). Walking the whole loop around it gives you a solid 5-mile hike.
The apartment is comfortable. You can turn on the heat when it gets chilly. The shower drains straight into the bathroom floor, which is standard for most homes in Georgia. You have to get used to it, but it’s a total non-issue compared to all the benefits. It can get pretty noisy outside during the day, and just like everywhere else in Georgia, there are lots of stray dogs around. But at night, it’s almost always super quiet. There’s AC only in the living room, but the windows face east, so I doubt it gets too hot even in the summer heat.
I love this place and am so grateful to the hosts. They stocked it with so many helpful little things, genuinely focusing on guest comfort. You rarely see that in rentals, and I highly appreciate it. If you ever need anything, just ask and they’ll help you out. They are incredibly warm and helpful people. I already miss it and can’t wait to come back.
These are minor things. I shared them with the host, and he is incredibly handy - I'm sure he'll fix everything.

Это мой дом в Цхалтубо. Если я соберусь в Цхалтубо опять, а я непременно приеду ещё, я надеюсь, он будет ждать меня. Как-то раз водитель GoTrip завёз меня в Цхалтубо по дороге в Мартвили, просто чтобы поделиться тем, что он любит и что ему дорого. И я подумала, что если мне потребуется место тишины и покоя, где много воздуха и зелени, я приеду сюда. И я приехала один раз, потом второй... Это очень специфическое место, изобилующее развалинами старого мира, и этот мир распался не много веков назад, а всего около 30 лет. Когда-нибудь эти территории будут выкуплены и изменены, но никто не знает, когда это может случиться. Так что для многих это территория «заброшек», которую интересно изучать. В самых эффектных даже проводятся свадебные церемонии... Парк же поддерживается в идеальном состоянии, дорожки метут ежедневно (проблема только с туалетами), обойти его кругом – это значит совершить прогулку на 8 км.
Квартира удобная, в холодное время года можно включать отопление, душ в пол, как и в большинстве домов в Грузии, ко всему надо приспособиться, но это мелочи по сравнению с плюсами. Днём может быть очень шумно на улице, собаки в Грузии везде и здесь их тоже много. Но ночью почти всегда очень тихо. Кондиционер только в зале, но квартира смотрит окнами на восток, я думаю, и в жару там не очень жарко. Я люблю этот дом и очень признательна его хозяевам, которые наполнили его множеством мелких полезных деталей, думая об удобстве гостей. Это очень редко можно увидеть в сдаваемом жилье. И я это очень ценю. Если чего-то не хватает, вам всегда помогут, только спросите. Это очень доброжелательные и отзывчивые люди. Уже скучаю и очень хочу вернуться.
Надо починить сетку на кухне - она перестала фиксироваться. Раковина в ванной не устойчивая. Нужна рабочая швабра, чтобы протирать пол.

I was alone in this big apartment, and I used all the space except the second bedroom. It was warm enough, quiet at night, I had everything I needed. A great offer in Tskaltubo. Thank Zaza for your hospitality)
It wasn't perfect (I told Zaza about some problems), but I put it in my favorite.
