It was clean, nicely furnished and had everything we needed for our stay.
This is trivial considering how nice the apartment was, but there were a ridiculous number of decorative pillows in the bed. To take them all off and store so many felt silly.
Also something to consider is that the polite but firm message the evening prior to our checkout was irritating. The gentle hurry up to check out so the cleaner could get in by 10am and a reminder to clean up after ourselves once again makes one feel a bit of an unwelcome nuisance and they would like us rushed off the premises. Honestly whilst of course we don’t mind taking our rubbish out and tidying the apartment etc, the expectation of rubbish removal feels petty. It was a step away from being asked to strip the bed.
