Hotel Mountain Brook

Room was immaculately clean. Comfy bed. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We were celebrating our 51st anniversary and they gave us a lovely gift and upgrade. Excellent chef and most delicious breakfast.

The chairs in the room were not very comfortable.

Beautiful mountain hotel. Modern and updated but decorated like a typical mountain lodge, fire going and smores kits available for free. Breakfast was served quickly and was tasty and just enough. You can walk to town from there. Just beautiful and staff were amazing as well!

Eine sehr besondere Unterkunft mit einer eigenen, tollen Atmosphäre. Sehr nettes Personal, tolles Frühstück. Ein traumhafter Außenbereich mit Feuerstelle und anderen Aktivitäten. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen!

Ein einziger Kritikpunkt ist, dass das Schlafsofa ziemlich unbequem war und für annähernd erwachsene Personen keinen Komfort bietet.

The staff is wonderful, excellent communication. The breakfast was delicious and common areas are nice. Lots of games, nightly outside fire.

The room was a big disappointment for the cost. While it looked nice it was not functional. East lodge room. Stairs in/out are narrow and boards aren’t tight and wobbly. The room was extremely small. There was no place to put a suitcase without running into it, no place at all for a second person to set theirs. The walls are so thin. Neighbors were not loud, just talking and so clear and loud thru the wall that we could have joined the conversation. They got up around 5am….The bathroom could not possibly be legal, there was a tiny space between the sink and the toilet, only enough space to stand sideways and to top it off, this was how you stepped into the combo tub. The gas fireplace produced some heat but no pretty flame to watch. The other alternative was a window ac/heat unit which we didn’t touch, those things are usually quite loud. There was one weird bureau w 2 height top in dark corner and blocked by a chair so basically useless to combat the no suitcase space issue. Bed okay. Room lighting is minimal. No space to move chair. In short the space provided was not worth the over $400 charge for the room. I had chosen this hotel as presented as a nice old hotel w extra services & great food. There is no dinner served at the hotel. The food choices for dinner in town were not fabulous. We went to the place recommended by hotel, it was very underwhelming. Too bad as staff was really lovely and the main lodge outside porch was cute. Note you might be able to walk down the hill into town but should know the hill is steep, kind of blind for drivers coming up and absolutely no sidewalk or place to get out of the way. We drove, parking is problematic and this was in May. I would not stay here again.
