Very comfortable mattress and a great night’s sleep

Poor first impression on arrival (wet shower floor towel and slight blood stains on pillowcase)
Towels and linen looked tired despite being clean
Long strands of hair still present on the floor
Room furniture was old, outdated, and showed visible wear and tear
Rooms felt neglected compared to the impressive ground-floor areas
Reception and waiting staff were nonchalant, with little guest engagement
Restaurant prices were on the higher side
