Aki is a fantastic host, he is very helpful and makes you feel very welcome into the home. There is a very good breakfast, spacious rooms and plenty of drying space for ski equipment. The bedding was very comfortable. There is easy access to Goryu and Happo One, via bus/shuttle. It was a lovely, relaxing time at Kanekaku.
The location is a bit further out than the ‘main’ areas of Hakuba, but if you’re in for a more low key time away and don’t mind a bit of a walk to access a restaurant for dinner, then this location is fine!

I loved this accommodation! I was surprised at the bus terminal to be picked up by shuttle and taken to rent my board and boots and then taken to the accommodation to get changed and was then taken to the slopes. Highly recommend this kind family! Home cooked meals and traditional Japanese styled room. Thank you for having me and for your beautiful and kind hospitality!!!!
