The Space:
This cozy cottage is one of the last remaining original beach cottages at Richmond Beach. These cottages were built as weekend homes for the well-heeled of Seattle in the late 1800's. Folks would take the train up the coast from downtown Seattle in the days when there was still a train stop here, to get away from city life to the peaceful and beautiful views of Puget Sound which Richmond Beach is known and cherished for!
The cottage has been lovingly restored retaining its rich history, with the addition of comfortable modern amenities as well as a private deck for guests nested in mature bamboo landscaping with an outdoor dining table and mediation bench, there is additionally an old-fashioned front porch, complete with rocking chair, and overlooking a tranquil Koi Pond.
Moreover, Richmond Beach is an upscale and wonderfully quiet neighborhood, where long walks with water views are always a favorite -- you will surely have a fantastic time during your stay!
Guest Access:
* Guests will have access to the entire space.
* Guest parking is available.
Other Things to Note:
* There is no Washer/Dryer in this unit.
* Pets allowed with a refundable $200 deposit per pet.
* The bottom floor is a storage shed that the cleaner and owners use from time to time.

We like this cozy little cottage because it is in a perfect location for when we join extended family gathering in the area. It is an older building so you can’t expect perfection, but that is part of its charm. We are glad we discovered it and have used it twice and plan to use it again like a little home away from home.

1- When I got there the sign and gate are not visible as advertised. I passed it 3 times. I had to park partially in the grass and in the street. 2- The add says there is garage parking. NOT true! When I got the key and unlocked the door I had a hard time getting the door open. 3- The latch was sticking. When I got inside I was on the phone with my husband who was contacting the owner or whoever was managing the property on Expedia about the parking. I couldn’t get the door open from the inside. I’m claustrophobic and couldn’t get out. 4- The latch was sticking in the door wouldn’t open. Because of my claustrophobia, I freaked out when I couldn’t get out the door. My husband contacted this person who took 3 hours to get back to him. Finally, I was able to hit the door latch with my hand to get it open. 5- The person who he contacted once he did get back to him told us that they would send somebody out to look at the door latch, I had to make an appointment and they weren’t sure when they were going be able to come look at it. I didn’t have time to deal with somebody to come out and look at the latch. We informed that person that they could take care of it when I left. As far as the garage parking goes, they said that wasn’t offered. We told them that it was in the ad and they said it was a misprint. I didn’t see the sign with the persons contact # until much later hidden behind a plant. 6- beach view NONE. Personally I would not recommend. It’s not worth the price paid.
