I really enjoyed my stay at Indira Homestay. Ashok is the owner of this gorgeous home which is split into his private residence and a few apartments which are very comfortable and clean. There is a shared seating and food prep area if you wish to be social, and my room had a wonderful balcony which looked out over the beach which was only 100 meters or so away. I felt very at home in Surathkal and Iddya Beach, and didn't want to leave this lovely town, which had everything you needed from traditional to less traditional fast food. Iddiya Beach is extremely quiet, and at sunset, the locals walk along it. Don't expect many tourists here, it felt like a local secret which I was party to, and I loved it.
