This is an adorable guesthouse that was extremely comfortable to stay at along the via transilvanica. We were required to book 2 nights minimum but I ended up being glad about that. The beds are extremely comfortable. The room had air-conditioning which was so needed on hot August days. The breakfasts were fantastic. The woman there was so sweet. Even though she didnt speak English, we communicated with Google translate and she took good care of us. They had a few bikes to use as well which was fun to ride around the village.
The internet didnt work well, which was fine for our situation but if you needed to get work done, it wouldve been difficult. I do wish they had an option for dinner, even if it was sandwhiches. There is nowhere to eat in town. But there is a small convenience store very close where you could get basics like bread and eggs. Its just difficult when walking the trail and wouldve been nice to have another food option.

We had a nice stay here, the accommodation looks good, the room was comfortable and clean, we had a good communication with the owner and the price paid was fine. I appreciated the acces to the kitchen and the nice garden in the backyard.

The stay exceeded our expectations! We had the chance to meet Alex the owner, who is passionate about the regional history, heritage and its conservation, a passion that can be felt in every corner of the house. It’s clean, well equipped and overall a place in which you can experience slow living. Alex and the staff are welcoming hosts, and we’re already looking forward to going back! If you want to visit this part of Transylvania, we cannot recommend Haus Rether enough!

The house has a rustic look, has the ambiance of a cottage and has all the modern comfort and utilities that you might need. Very clean, very comfortable. Excellent location, in the heart of Saxon villages from Transilvania. The host is really nice and helpful. I enjoyed every moment of hte vacatiob spent here.
