Very clean and well maintained. Great activity options like hiking, yoga and massages but have to pre-book in advance as facilitators need to be called in for them. The rooms are exactly as pictured - very aesthetic, minimal but functional. There’s great wildlife on the farm and in surrounding areas. You can also take a 10 min trip to the Lion and Rhino Reserve for a game drive. The reception was really accommodating with creating an itinerary based on the activities we wanted to do and also arranged a shuttle service and booked the game drive for us.
Rooms located along the reception area are prone to noise from surrounding staff members as it’s a high activity area. I found this to be unpleasant when I wanted to relax or have a nap during the day as there is constant loud chatter around these areas or cleaning being done. I’d prefer a more isolated room next time where noise exposure is controlled as this does distract from the otherwise peaceful and quiet ambiance. My husband also got food poisoning on the first night after having the beef dish on the menu and the hotel did not have any medications on site to help with the symptoms. They offered to arrange for us to go to a pharmacy but that was the next day. The food menu is also the same everyday so there isn’t much variety. It would be good if this could be changed up so that the meals are not monotonous
