Thoroughly enjoyed our stay , staff were excellent , room was clean & comfortable , location is perfect for both Venue Cymru & also walking distance into town. Breakfast was awesome, will definitely stay here again

Excellent location on the seafront, close to shops, bars etc, not too far from the pier. Staff were friendly, premises was clean.

Unfortunately, there were quite a few negative points - none of which is the staffs fault I will make clear. The whole.place, which is actually 3 hotels with different names knocked through into 1, is very dated. The room decor was old, with some odd features: Mismatched furniture, some with carpet around their base. Mattress was lumpy and so squashy, I nearly rolled out of it several times - no support. Light bulbs not working. No aircon - tiny fan supplied that plugs into a USB port in the lamp. Hairdrier on the wall had a PAT test sticker which was THIRTEEN YEARS out of date! Shower was small and squashed in the corner of the bathroom that had a pillar right by the door. I'm a normal sized guy and I had to squeeze sideways through the shower door. In the shower, the shower head rail was clinging to the wall by hopes and dreams - touch it and it fell. The breakfast was ok - it claims continental is available but its basically cereal, toast and yogurt. Hot food options are served to order. Breakfast costs extra, but the room wasnt hugely expensive so fair enough. Fire escape...this one defies belief that its legal - from our room, the hand drawn instructions said we had to go into the room next door, and out their window - the key to the room next door was in a break glass on the door frame. The key was there but the glass long gone. We noted on another floor the key was missing entirely. If there is a fire, firstly you're expected to fumble with keys in a lock? Secondly, what if somebody has had a few drinks and taken the key for a 'laugh'? Fire escapes should not be dependant on guests finding a key and unlocking doors - why is the route behind a locked door? Surely that room isnt used by guests too?? I only stayed one night so wasnt worth creating a scene - there were no other hotels available when I searched. But I certainly wouldnt stay again
