House was exactly as expected. Flat and wide. Nice flat garden for our kid to play football or badminton.
Our only complain is that we felt uneasy when owners complained that house was not perfectly clean when giving them back the keys. According to the house rules, you could either tidy up the house yourself or choose instead that owners would do the cleaning (paying extra 40€). We opted for the second option because it was super hot, we were on a hurry to leave, we were on vacations and not feeling like cleaning, and we had a long way to go back home. And we left 50€ (yes, more than the 40€ we were supposed to pay) on the table for the cleaning.
When owners came, they complained about the house not being perfect (house was ok, my mom is 75 years old and the cleanest person I know), although we explained to them that we had opted for the SECOND OPTION, that is prefering to not tidy up things and pay for the service instead.
When we were about to leave and we were sitting in our car, owner's husband came to complain that house was not perfect again - and again I explained to him that we had chosen the SECOND OPTION (not cleaning, and paying for it) and it was a bit uncomfortable and uneasy to discuss with him. It did not help that they didn't speak any other language than French. I speak English, Spanish, Catalan and Greek, and some broken French.
As a sidenote, I have one house on Airbnb and Booking and I do not expect my guests to tidy up the house perfectly (i always have a cleaning maid for that), much less if they are paying an extra fee for cleaning.
