Cramped and bed ok but pillow like a rock had to use alternative I created with cushion and towel!

Very pleased with the stay. Extremely clean to all areas especially the bathroom. Room had everything you would need for a stay particularly if you are staying for work. A small kitchenette with microwave, fridge, mini oven and stocked tea/coffee as well. Keyless access code was also well communicated prior to arrival.

Location was good for Castle Coombe and other places to visit. When we needed another towel it was delivered very promptly.
Carpark was nearly full when we returned on Friday and Saturday evenings, no reserved places for the White Lion.

The location was great and the Italian Restaurant was really welcoming with great food
The access is all via door codes and ours hadn’t arrived prior to check in, despite us having early check in available as we’re genius customers on Booking.com, so we had to chase this up. The room was very small. The bed was up against the wall so you had to climb over the other person to get to the bathroom. The bed was uncomfortable as the mattress was very hard. The shower was very compact, dirty grout and so small in terms of headroom and I’m only 5ft 5”! The heated towel rail didn’t appear to have any controls. There was no mirror to be able to do your hair/review your outfit. Just stuck on mirror tiles on wall behind the bed.
The windows are not very noise insulating and heard people outside at 3am talking. There are multiple signs within the room that duplicate messaging, which felt unnecessary.
I’m sure that with a bit of attention to detail this could have been a much better stay. Seems a lot of investment in Electronic key code access, so a faceless checkin and not much else in terms of guest comfort. Given the cost it didn’t reflect value for money!
