I think the best aspects of the cottage were the kitchen, the bathroom, and the outdoor setting. The kitchen was well-equipped and opened onto a spacious wooden deck with a seating area, a working grill, and a large dining table around the corner. The bathroom featured a beautiful large bathtub which we didn't try, but looks like it would've made a good soak. The shower was fitted with a rainshower head and worked fine. We didn't try the fireplace or the firepit since we came in the summer but they probably would've been nice (assuming they were functioning properly). The cottage backs into a tranquil and large wooded area.
The place was not well maintained. One of the most unpleasant aspects was the overpowering artificial odor coming from various sources: every room was overloaded with fragrance diffusers (which we had to remove), and bizarrely, all the pillowcases were lined with fresh dryer sheets, and their terrible smell seaped into the pillows themselves. The sheets had such a strong detergent smell that we had to launder all the bedding; upon entering the basement where the washer/dryer was located, we found that the space was reeking with the smell of mothballs. The other major problem was that many things were broken or in a state of disrepair: the luggage rack was missing a screw, one of the lampshades in the main bedroom was quite wobbly, the drawer of one nightstand did not open, the curtain rod was loose and came apart when I tugged on a curtain. In the living room, the Venetian blinds were missing adjustment rods, and some slats were broken. A side table was crooked and visibly wobbly. In the bathroom, the toilet seat slid around. The paint on the walls was dingy and dirty, and furniture items showed chips and cracks. All the windows had dirt and dead insects along the edges of the screens, and they opened with difficulty. The furnishings were not of high quality (the mattress seemed to be a light memory foam, the couch was soft).

Wonderful setting, very relaxing, home was exceptional, many amenities provided by our Host. Great place to take a walk in the trees, sit outside on the patio for drinks, food, just enjoying the woods.
Nothing to say, property was perfect for us.

Too much to list......
Clean, comfortable, warm, and out of the way, in the woods. Some deer had come through the yard which was absolutely beautiful.
The driveway was somewhat difficult to find as maps takes you to a park entrance but the driveway is only a bit down the road.
