If you are looking for a cabin on a mountain ridge with a view but also offers the secluded cabin in the woods vibe we are the cabin for you! Enjoy a game of Pool or relax by the fire while cookies back in the oven! Take a soak in the Hot tub, enjoy the fire pit area making s’mores or play a game of corn hole on the large deck while you cook up your favorite foods on the grill! Beech Mountain is 25 min from the cabin and Banner Elk NC is 40 min from the cabin.Enjoy the slopes on Beech Mountain with a short 35min drive or Sugar Mountain which is a 45min drive. Watauga Lake is 15 min from the cabin and offers boat, kayak and paddle board rentals at the 3 local Marinas. Boone NC is a 30 min drive and offers all the restaurants and shopping you could want and let’s not forget App State Football if you are a fan! Blowing Rock and Grandfather mountain are both within an hour and guest love to visit these attractions. Wattauga River and plenty of hiking trails and waterfalls are in the area too! Come and stay with us and enjoy the best the Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer in NC and TN!! (All wheel drive or 4WD vehicles are recommended in winter weather)!

The property inside is lovely. Very good for the part of the family with kids to be on the bottom floor, the aunt and uncle on the 2nd floor and healthy grandparents to be on the top floor with private bathroom. Outside the building is older and there is a very steep driveway, not unusual for those who live in mountainside properties, but from us in flatter land was a bit of a challenge. For those who might have intermediate office zooms it is not great for internet until, if the owner finds a new provider, which is very hard to do in wilderness areas then you cannot count on internet. The property worked out well for the number of people we were and we visited fellow vacationers who had booked a property on the lake. so we were able to go there for swimming and boating. I am sure the owner will put into their directions to only access the Banjo Ridge road from route 321. The other end of Banjo Ridge is still washed out from Hurricane Helene.

Lazy Bear Lodge was a great cabin with plenty of room to spread out. The kids enjoyed the multicade and pool table. When we had issues with the hot tub the host was incredibly helpful and responsive. I highly recommend this cabin for a trip in the area.

This was the perfect mountain getaway!! The house was beautiful! The host was extremely responsive, kind, and helpful leading up to and during our stay. The house was great for a few couples heading to a wedding at sugar hollow retreat. Everything about the house was perfect and having a hot tub was an extra special touch. Highly recommend!!!
