About this house rental
Located in Folly Beach, this lovely house for $505 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. The City of Folly Beach has scheduled beach renourishment for this spring. The project will start at the West end of the island at the county park progressing towards the lighthouse in blocks. The completion is slated for August. While this is welcomed news given the recent erosion from storms and high tides, we realize the potential for disruption based on the project’s timing. We are committed to ensuring your vacation experience remains enjoyable. While most of the beach will remain publicly accessible during the construction, there is a possibility that certain sections of the beach, typically about 500 feet at a time, may be temporarily closed off. The active work area moves every 5 to 7 days on average. Due to so many external factors, we have no way to predict an accurate timeline for when the project will be at any given location. However, if we anticipate in advance that the project may affect your stay, we will be reaching out to you. In the small chance the project directly affects your beachfront vacation, we will work closely with you to discuss options. This charming oceanfront home, known as Sandi Lou, offers a cozy and nostalgic beach house experience. As you drive into the driveway, you'll be greeted by the soothing sounds of the ocean waves Step up the front stairs and enter the home, where you'll find a spacious kitchen to your left. While not luxurious, it has all the necessary amenities, including a convenient butcher block for extra counter space. This fully equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing meals to enjoy on the screened-in back porch or for packing snacks to take with you to the beach. The kitchen counter also features bar stools, allowing little ones to observe or friends and family to converse while the designated cook works their magic. Continuing past the kitchen, you'll find a spacious dining table that has gracefully hosted countless group meals, game nights, and joyful reunions over the years. This table is ideal for group meals, game nights, or simply gathering and sharing laughter and stories. Right past the dining area is the cozy dining room, with ocean views directly out of the doors to the porch. Sit on the couch for dual views - the ocean and the tv, perfect for the rare rainy day inside. The main level of the house features four bedrooms and two bathrooms, each telling its own story through the passage of time. On the right side, facing the ocean, two bedrooms share a jack-and-jill bathroom. On the left side, accessed from a hallway, three additional bedrooms await. The hallway also holds a washer and dryer. Upstairs you’ll find a large room designed for the younger members of your group, with 3 Full & 3 Twin beds, there are plenty of options for sleeping arrangements. This area boasts a window seat with unparalleled ocean views, child-sized furniture and seating, and an en suite bathroom. Throughout the house, the faded decor serves as a reminder that every moment spent here is an opportunity to reconnect with nostalgia and revel in the breathtaking views of the enduring Atlantic Ocean spread out before you. This property is licensed as a short term rental on Folly Beach & BL # To ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests, we maintain a strict occupancy limit. Any violation of these terms, including hosting events, parties, or more guests than the max occupancy, will result in immediate eviction. The City of Folly Beach has rules and regulations regarding such events and occupancy, and non-compliance could result in legal action and loss of the homeowner's business license. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding that our homes are strictly intended for vacation stays.

Great house for a big group! We had 17 women and it was perfect for us! Can't beat the location and view! We could easily walk into town (Taco Boy, Drop in Deli, Woody's Pizza, Snapper Jack's were great) and of course, just steps to the beach! The house is a little dated (plumbing and electricity especially) but great! We will come back!

Overall our visit was good—- this house is in need of some desperate updating—-from furniture to beds to pillows to fixing the decking out to the beach. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen as it was well equipped with cooking ware, but lacked the basics like salt/pepper, oil, etc. it is located in a great area of Folly Beach, and the view and short walk to the beach are amazing and totally worth it!

The home was right on the beach with easy access. Home is somewhat dated and needs some updating but did it's purpose. The home is huge and able to accommodate many people. Overall very good location.

We stayed at Sandi Lou for a girls beach weekend. We loved the access to the beach and the set up of the house was great for a group our size. I will say, either the house needed some love or the listing wasn't 100% accurate as we encountered water spots along the ceiling, cabinets close to falling off their hinges, the freezer door not opening at all, and some of the outside doors not opening either. I let the property manager know through VRBO app (as I couldn't find a way to message in the Vacasa app) but never heard back. In fact, I had reached out to them the day prior with a question and never heard back about that either. Long story short, we had a wonderful time during our stay but communication with property manager was lacking.

Sunrise and view of dolphins swimming by from porch rockers were just what us Notherners needed in February. Home was clean and well stocked for 5 adults. Plenty of beds in upstairs open space, although we only needed the main living bedrooms for our group. Easy walk to pier and Center St but far enough away to be relaxing.

The house and lot was great with a floor plan that accommodated a crowd. Slept 12 comfortably and the open great room on the main floor allowed for everyone to interact with each other from the kitchen to the back porch overlooking the beach. The views were incredible! The house was clean and turnkey. All we had to do was show up! Thank you for a great weekend.

Sandi Lou is just perfect! The layout is great for family - especially for teens / twenties kids with the beds and bathroom upstairs. This was our second time renting and with family living on Johns Island we plan to return to Sandi Lou again and again!

All the amenities you could ask for. Practically smack dab in the middle of Folly beach, equidistant from light house to the east and park to the west. Upstairs room is great for the kids to hang out and sleep, with 6 beds.

The property was very clean and had evverything you coud need for a vacation with family. The third bathroom that is upstairs in the bunk room is very tiny (at least for us adults). The shower was definitely made for smaller (shorter) people. It wasnt a big issue for us--but the only thing that wasnt what I expected from the listing. More than enough dishes/pots/pans/silverware. Everything worked wonderfully. Screens on front door and back porch could use some love--but over all this was an awesome house!

We enjoyed everything! It was very very nice! It just was hard from having a lot of people coming in from out of town that we could not get answers about the house until day of. I emailed asking about beach towels and beach chairs and no answer. We also were wondering about early checknin but couldn't get an answer till day of. Other then that it was amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sandy Lou! The place was just as pictured and was well equipped with plenty of kitchen items, towels, blankets, etc. We loved the floor plan and the fact that there were two bedrooms facing the ocean so that both my husband and I and our friends could sleep to the sound of those beautiful ocean waves. The beach was one of the cleanest we’ve ever been on and we could walk it for miles. We walked to town several times for shopping, eating or for just a drink. The management was very responsive to any questions we had. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you for a great experience!

Wonderful location with private access to the beach. Just far enough away from the pier to have a quiet beach in front of us. Stayed with our 5 children and didn't even need to use the one bedroom. Place was clean, kitchen well furnished. Will definitely consider staying here again.

When we arrived there was some grit on the kitchen counters and a single dirty coffee cup. I called Vacasa and they came and cleaned the entire house till it was immaculate. I am impressed !

Overall for the price at ocean front this home was good for our families. The loft up stairs provided plenty of beds for all the kids and cousins to sleep, play, rest, and provided more peace downstairs and less disruption to the downstairs bedrooms with little kids napping all the time. There was a little sway to the house if you were sitting on a potty or sleeping in bed when folks moved around. I do not recall experiencing this on other elevated homes we have stayed in previously. All noted it at the end of the week. Kitchen was well outfitted with utensils and new appliances. Lots of deck space and partially screened. For the price, loft, and location, we would definitely come back here with all the fam sometime.

Overall Sandi Lou is a perfect place for celebrating with a large group of people. The beds are comfortable and the decor is beachy. The outside space is basic but plenty of chairs on the enclosed porch so it’s a nice area to relax and view the ocean.
There are no beach towels or beach chairs so plan around that. Easy walk into town and there is a lot to do there. We had an excellent 4 days on Folly Beach.

This is a wonderful house for a large group or family. It has 4 bedrooms on the main floor with a kitchen dining area living room and two bathrooms. On one side of the living area ate two bedrooms with a jack and Jill type bathroom and two bedrooms with a bathroom on the other side. The top floor is a big bedroom with multiple beds and a full bath. It is direct oceanfront with a beautiful beach. Bring pot holders for the oven because there aren’t any. It was a great stay!

The entire house was perfect for us. All had their own bed, sheets, towels, wash cloths, and very comfortable beds. The back porch was great for sitting around talking and listening to the ocean. The closeness to the beach was really good also. Just a great place to stay and I recommend it to anyone and will keep it on my files for future use.
