Airone Capsule Hotel

Compared to a capsule hotel in Launceston, this was certainly better. Identical capsules with the same modern design, but these are made of wood instead of plastic which is an improvement. There is a kitchen area with plenty of fridge space which was perfectly fine for me. The staff are quite responsive and helpful, I asked to check the capsule before booking and they were able to tend to my needs both before and during my stay. A huge plus is that they have a freely usable washing machine and a place to hang wet clothes as well. It was quiet for the most part as well, and the location was amazingly convenient.

Noise is still an issue though, the lockers make beeping sounds, as do the capsule doors, but nothing too bad or anything. The one major concern is that my entire row was empty but I kept getting guests checking in and out of the capsules immediately next to and above mine... Thus I had to deal with snoring/coughing which I felt could have been avoided. I did ask, and was told that guests specifically asked for these capsules due to being closest to wifi, so I suppose there's a need to improve wifi connectivity throughout the dorm. The other source of noise pollution was from the cleaner who seemed very aggressive in handling things... Capsules were a little cold, but they do have heaters lying around, perhaps I should have asked if they could be used or not... Still, not counting the bad luck with capsule assignments, it was better than expected, and I would stay again in winter, especially if I needed to be in the central area. May be too crowded and noisy in summer, but I wouldn't know for sure. Another thing is that for those who need to cook meals, the kitchen doesnt allow cooking, not an issue for me, but keep that in mind.

I like the amount of privacy you have and the security of having a locker and card to yourself. The property was clean and welcoming. I had an issue with the dates of my booking and the staff resolved this issue without hesitation and very quickly

Amenities were a little bit dated. Not many good charging options in the capsule. Toilets weren’t very clean.
