The guided treks were incredible. The guide was experienced and knowledgable and I felt very safe. The surroundings are spectacular and lots of choice for activities. It is remote and beautiful. Some of the staff were really helpful.
In monsoon season it is clearly impossible to keep the property clean. The rooms were wet and dirty in places. The tubs were green and the swimming pool was covered in leeches and small frogs. It was more like a smart hostel stay than a four star experience. If you were expecting hostel you would be pleasantly surprised. Expecting romantic lodges then maybe less so.

The property is really really worth the money you had paid and worth the effort you had taken to reach there by road. It is better to go via the 6th Mile on the Munnar highway rather than reach there by the Thattekad route. The forest path is narrow and the likelihood of encountering elephants is high on that road. The rooms were big and comfortable. Lovely swimming pool. The menu was really good keeping in mind the remote location of the property. The Staff and the cook were really good and very helpful. Do not miss the morning trek which the local guide Chellappan (a gem of a person) takes you to a wonderful water fall where you can have a lovely dip. If possible I would like to come back here to spend more time.

Cleanliness & the staff was very cooperative and the place was well maintained and clean.
The Road to the resort is pretty rash and proper instructions should be given instead of following the Google Maps.

I was impressed by the staff's respect, hospitality, and wonderful demeanor. Their service was exceptional. If you want to book a place in the forest, this is the perfect place for you.
The resort needs maintenance, and unfortunately, international and even Indian food options are not available. There's also a problem with the water pressure for showering; the water flow is very weak. I also think they need to improve the cleanliness of the rooms. The road leading to the resort is very, very bad. It's true that the resort and the road are not directly related, but to get to the resort you have to take a four-wheel drive vehicle because of the poor condition of the narrow road.
