Well located within a short walk of main attractions.
Parking included which was one of the main incentives for booking this particular property.
2 bathrooms - handy.
Washing machine - handy
Whilst parking was included, the space was very tight especially if you have a slightly bigger vehicle. Had my partner not been such a skilled driver I don’t think we would’ve managed to squeeze in at our end spot. As it was the neighbour came down and offered to move his car to give us more room to manoeuvre and we also had to move some kerb boulders to give us more space. If the bushes were chopped down at the entrance this would provide an extra few crucial inches!
No toilet roll at all, not even a single square! Thankfully I wasn’t caught short arriving after a long journey!
Arrival Guide - update it to show correct Wi-Fi and also the location of the washing washing which we eventually found in the garage behind a parked car!
There is a pub next door which was very noisy at the weekend. However the noise did calm down after 11pm which didn’t affect our sleep. If you had young children who went to bed earlier, this may have caused issues.

The property is in a quiet cul-de-sac, right next to the York walls. It's really easy to walk into the city, and there's parking for a car. It feels all very safe and secure with a family.
There are a few pubs behind the house, and they're a bit rowdy late at night, but you're completely separated from them and can't hear them indoors.
A few, odd, small things.
- When we arrived, the house was completely unlocked (front door, back door, and inner door to the garage)
- There was a car in the garage for the entire time - no idea whose - as well as a kids bike and a load of boxes
- There is a storage room downstairs, which was unlocked the whole time and had a LOT of random stuff in it - baby's chairs, toiletries, toys etc
- I had to clean the hoover on behalf of the property, as I tried to use it and it wouldn't work as it was rammed full of stuff
- Dishwasher didn't work - just kept stopping after 1 minute, despite me trying every setting. The rotor also fell off, which was great
- There were a load of (harmless) spiders in the house - in the corrider and garage - which clearly hadn't been cleaned properly / put outside
