The apartment is located on the slope of a mountain providing a stunning view of the entire west coast of the island. It is very spacious and nicely decorated and was generally quite clean. There are two modern en-suite bathrooms which is very helpful when travelling with 2 teenagers - ample hot water and a washing machine (with detergent provided) which is essential for longer stays. Internet access and TV reception were very good. The host greeted us on arrival and gave us a lot of useful tips and information. We also found several extras such as olive oil and a bottle of wine which was very kind of him to provide.
We were unfortunate to encounter blistering winds throughout our stay which in not uncommon during August. The host is of course not in control of the weather, however the outdoor area (which is otherwise beautiful) is built in such way that it offers no protection. The development includes a villa on top of the two suites, which features see-through side wall extensions offering spaces where guests can sit comfortably and enjoy the view or their dinner without any worries. The suites on the other hand are constantly battered, meaning that you cannot sit outside for too long or even at all during morning hours when it's colder. In turn, you are forced to sit inside trying to be really quiet (since the 3rd bed is in the common area) when you could be enjoying the stunning view and surroundings outside. The master bedroom was also a minus as it had a distinctive mouldy smell of humidity which we think was the wall behind the bed. It is also separated from the common areas by two sliding doors which don't really shut properly, meaning that you can forget about any private moments you may be looking forward to as a couple in your holiday. The above may possibly seem less significant for shorter breaks, but having stayed for 8 nights, I'm sorry to say that this did not seem like a particularly relaxing holiday.
