Best place in Da Nang if you want peace!

The owner, Ms Lu, is so friendly and fun! The hostel has an atmosphere I’ve never experienced before. It definitely feels like a home away from home where everyone just does their own thing, but if you want to socialise, everyone is super nice and friendly! Ms Lu always has random food like fruits and snacks that she always shares with guests 😂 My highlight was one of the evenings where I asked Ms Lu if she had a badminton set, because all the local kids were playing it on the street, and she went out of her way buy a brand new set for us to play with!! There’s also great local food nearby and overall a super peaceful and quiet neighbourhood! Can’t beat the price too.

It is a bit far from the hotspot places in Da Nang, but I guess that’s the point if you’re looking for peace and quiet.

A little frustration

The host was friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Basic amenities such as towels and toiletries were provided, which was appreciated.

Unfortunately, the room we were provided was not the one we had originally booked, despite confirmation. The alternative room offered was situated next to the communal kitchen, leading to noise disturbances from other guests. Additionally, the stated private bathroom turned out to be a shared facility used by all guests. The bedding provided did not meet our expectations, with plastic sheets and pillowcases being used instead of cotton, and no extra sheets available for added comfort.

The best hostel by far I’ve ever stayed in. Home from home ❤️

It is like home. I instantly felt relaxed as soon as I arrived. I’ve very clean and has plenty of space to work, relax or chill. It is by far, the best hostel I have stayed in so far and I have been travelling for 3 months. Lu is such a beautiful, helpful kind soul, she goes above and beyond to help. It was like meeting an old friend, sister. I just love everything about this place and Lu 🥰

Feels like home - live like a local in Da Nang

I usually don't write reviews but I would like to thank Lu’s Peaceful Homestay, the best place I ever stayed on my trip. I’ve met many interesting and charming people in this place, countless fun evenings talking with them, from all the countries, different ethnicities, and all ages. Diversities of people are all in one place, making each other comfortable. I always felt like I was staying at a close friend’s home. This is not a party house, but the best place to chat with other travelers in a very calm vibe. But you also have the freedom to do your own thing, the balance between that is very hard to get. Quite a few people(including myself) extended their stay. The place is sparkling clean and well-organized, and the bed is large and comfy! Nice local market nearby, the place is not in the center of the city but easy to access. I like to stay in a local neighborhood, a bit out of tourist attraction so it was perfect for me. There are various good reasons to recommend this place, but I think the most stand-out point is the atmosphere that Lu creates. She is a warm, helpful, and energetic person. I visited many beautiful places she recommended which is not in the guidebook. I appreciate all the effort she made to make my stay unforgettable. I cannot thank you enough, Lu. I wish you the best of luck and please stay healthy. I will definitely come back!

Great place to feel at home!

The environment is great, it’s like feeling at home. Lu is a fantastic host who works so much to make her guests feel happy. She also cooked for us for Chinese New Year. Guests are of all ages and coming from all over the world.

Some rooms are mouldy so if you suffer from asthma it’s not ideal. But if you are not bothered it’s a great place to go. 💙 the neighbourhood is far from the main beach but it’s lovely - I really liked it because it’s a reside area, very authentic!

The best place to stay for a solo traveler as I felt right at home and safe in her home

First of all, Madam Lu was the most wonderful host ever. It's my first solo trip in my life and I was nervous. I travelled a 22 hours train ride from Ho Chin Minh to Da Nang, it was an okay ride but I was looking forward to arrive in Da Nang after that intense travel hours. From the train station, Lu's homestay was probably around 10 mins away by car, which was convenient. During my stay, Madam Lu took the initiative to guide me around Da nang, places to visit and very good food to eat. It was my first Christmas being away from my family and friends, but being here with Madam Lu and the rest of the guest during that time, it was one of my most memorable memory. I definitely had one of the best Christmas in my life. Madam Lu made so much of effort getting us local viet food from various vendor and we all had a wonderful dinner together at the homestay.

Amazing stay! With the coolest owner and a great community where I instantly made many new friends

This was the best place I stayed during several months of travel in Asia! Lu is a very special Lady who constantly goes above and beyond for her guests. She is always smiling, laughing and joking, spreading joy around the house and giving great advice. She did so many kind things that I did not expect, like drive me somewhere to get some food, help find and organise tours, vehicles, mend my cloths, cook for us or get dinner and organise celebrations for the guests and more. This energy goes to shape an amazing community. I felt right at home from the moment I arrived and had dinner together with the other guests. You could also tell that everyone shared this feeling not just because we talked about it, but because over half the guests (including me) had extended their stays here. Often for significant amounts of time, staying for weeks or months instead of days. Also the price is very cheap, the area is nice and quiet with little traffic and just 10 minutes out of the city center. So if you are looking for a place to meet people and feel at home, for sure come to Lu Peaceful Homestay. Chances are you will want to stay longer! :D

Peaceful City Stay

Miss Lu is an amazing host. She woke up extra early to welcome me after I came to Da Nang on the night bus. She is a really good cook and is more than willing to help out with whatever you need. The room, bed and bathroom are nice and the location despite not being down town has some really nice restaurants and markets nearby.

The best homestay I stayed in during my travels

I want to say that I felt extremely good at Lu Homestay. The owner is an extraordinary person and this is also reflected on the guests. Since I've been traveling I've stayed in over 80 hostels/homestays and I can say without hesitation that this is the one I liked the most. The only regret is that I didn't have more time to spend at least a few more days.

Perfectly amazing

Lu is one of a kind!!! Not only she’s sooo welcoming and lovely but yet she makes sure you feel like home and she tries to help you with anything she can. She also prepares amazing dinners for her guests. Her homestay is very clean and cozy. If you want to experience real local homestay in Da Nang area Lu Peaceful Homestay is perfect for that.

Feels like at home

We enjoyed our 2 nights stay in this wonderful and cozy place. What makes it special is that you really feel like at home. Thu is very smiley, friendly and welcoming person. We talked a lot about everything and she also gave us many good recommendations. And yes, we had great dinners during our stay with other travelers, with interesting conversation and fun stories. The place is good located in a quiet area with comfortable public transport access. The room was big and clean, wifi worked perfect. Highly recommended.

Parfait, je recommande

L'accueil chaleureux, le dîner convivial avec les autres clients La cuisine maison est délicieuse et diététique. Tout est propre et en bon état. aucun bruit de la route. J'ai pu louer un scooter pour visiter DaNang et ses environs qui sont agréables, entre ville, mer et montagne Une guitare est disponible, j'ai pu réviser mes gammes 😁
