About this docked boat rental
Floating cozy and charming "Shamrockin" is located in the heart of Gig Harbor where all of the historic sites and restaurants are within a short walking distance. Rare boat at a rare historic net shed and dock. Use the provided kayaks to paddle around lovely Gig Harbor--or paddle to the Tides Tavern or Anthony's seafood for lunch! Complete with two staterooms, a cozy fireplace, and a view of sunsets and Mount Rainier! Sit on the upper deck for coffee/cocktails, bbq on the dock, watch activity.

Gig Harbor is known as the maritime city. Our net shed was built by a famous historic fisherman, Spiro Babich. The dock allows you to watch the boats, paddle boarders, gondolas, kayakers and working fishing boats go by! Shamrockin' is small,-know that it's a boat that rocks when folks move around, the shower is a hand held sprayer situation, and you must be nimble to move about. What you get in return is a teak and holly charming fully equipped getaway literally on the water and we think you'll love it. Two kayaks ready for your use!

Occasionally there will be events/celebrations in the net shed. It’s too cool of a venue to not have parties in. 😎 Please feel free to walk through to access your boat. Know that we will comply with quiet hours at 10pm too.

Our stay was great. Safe secure and everything was handy i.e. Restaurants near, the gally was well supplied and easy to use. The owners supplied a three ring binder with all the information needed. We only stayed one night but wanted to stay longer.

Let me start by saying that maybe boat life isn’t for me. For others, this may be heaven. Appreciated staying on the water, especially in a place as beautiful as Gig Harbor. However, boat life was less than comfortable. There is no good view from the boat. It’s a little better from the top deck but not possible to see Mt. Ranier. The kayaks are in really bad shape- seats don’t work, heavy with rocks and algae, no lift to make entering/exit easy. I can’t imagine fitting 4 people in the boat comfortably. My husband and I slept in different beds. Thank goodness it didn’t rain so we could be outside most of the time or we would have been stir crazy. The shower is minimal at best. I have super curly, thick hair and I didn’t even attempt to wash it with that system. Worst part- a strange smell like a mixture of oil/gas and bay water that made it unpleasant through the night. The owners did their best- free wine, nice bedding, ample towels. But it wasn’t comfortable for us. Maybe it’s our age (mid 50s) but we have roughed it, like multi day hikes, and I wouldn’t pay this price again to stay there. Sorry. Just my honest opinion.
