The house was spacious and warm and had everything we needed to cook for ourselves, or wash and dry clothes.
Everything was well explained and we were able to locate all that we needed.
Location was stunning the views out to the ocean from the master bedroom with picture worthy.
The beach is not a typical activity beach. But we enjoyed strolling along the sand in our boots and winter jackets. Lots of people out there walking their dogs.
Easy to walk to the central High Street
There was a bathroom light that we couldn’t figure out how to control. When it did turn on via the switch, it would automatically turn off at some point and we were unable to turn it back on

Spacious and comfortable, characterful old house with a roof terrace. Wonderful views from the rooms at the front of the house. Really helpful host with lots of advice about local area.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist perfekt!
Direkt an der Strandpromenade und nur 2...3 Gehminuten ins Zentrum oder 5...10 Gehminuten zum Supermarkt und Restaurants.
Unser Aufenthalt in dieser Ferienwohnung war leider nicht ganz das, was wir uns vorgestellt hatten. Schon die Anreise verlief extrem stressig. Als wir die Wohnung mit dem Schlüssel aus dem Schlüsseltresor betraten, ging sofort eine ohrenbetäubende Alarmanlage los. Es gab in der Wohnung keinerlei Möglichkeit, den Alarm zu deaktivieren. Die Notfall-Kontaktadresse der Ferienwohnung war nicht erreichbar – es lief lediglich das Band. Erst nach 20 bis 30 Minuten absolutem Chaos rief eine Sicherheitsfirma bei uns an. Letztendlich musste der (nicht vor Ort anwesende) Eigentümer die Anlage per Remote-Zugriff ausschalten. Die Kinder waren durch den tierischen Lärm völlig verunsichert und verängstigt. Ein absolut nerviger und chaotischer Start in den Urlaub!
Leider wurde es auch beim Thema Sauberkeit nicht viel besser. Die Bettlaken waren zwar offensichtlich gewaschen, wiesen aber dennoch deutliche Flecken und sogar einige Hundehaare auf. Im Wohnzimmer ging es direkt weiter: Hier fanden wir mehrere Büschel von Hundehaaren auf dem Boden. Alles in allem war die Wohnung einfach nicht gründlich gereinigt und entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen an eine saubere Unterkunft für unseren Urlaub.
Fazit: Aufgrund des Alarmanlagen-Dramas und der mangelhaften Sauberkeit können wir diese Ferienwohnung leider nicht weiterempfehlen. Hier muss dringend an der Kommunikation und dem Reinigungsservice gearbeitet werden.
