Amazing little gem. Room Was amazing, very comfy. Lady we spoke to when booking was so nice and informative. Gave clear and simple instructions to get to the room. Finding the room was magical, we had a hidden door and a mini landing with lots of bits to look through and explore. Comfiest bed ever, huge bath and a gorgeous little courtyard with bifold into the room . Breakfast options so much better than your standard fry up! All Staff were so lovely. Everything was thought about from spare batteries and an iron to help yourself to and extra teabags

A delightful Grade 2 listed building with many original and carefully restored features. Overlooking the market square, our room and en-suite were very well appointed, with shutters rather than curtains. Described as a B&B, it also had an all-day bread shop (think Chelsea patisserie rather Cromer pies), a pizza restaurant operating 4 days a week, bar, and a cellar for regular musical events. Due to the summer heat, the hi-tech key-less access system failed during our visit, but this is a building where metal keys have undoubtedly been the norm for the last 500 years, so we were happy to fall-back to that more robust tradition.

Comfortable bed and nice bathroom.

After staying here in 2017 when it was a very special hotel with vintage items, shop and record player in room. This hotel appears to have changed hands. No staff, self check in. Everything closed down 5pm. I went down for a drink outside at 6pm before my booking at the kings head. No staff, no bar! Breakfast was also disappointing. Choices from bakery, very odd indeed. Also very dry......nice coffee though 🤨 The decor was tge same but very tired......overall overpriced soulless experience.
