Good location. The train station and Old Town are about a 10-minute walk away, while the market and the nearest shop are about 5 minutes away. Quiet area and good internet. There is a single-burner electric hot plate, an electric kettle, and a refrigerator. A basic set of dishes (plates, a pot, forks, and spoons) for preparing meals for 1–2 nights is also provided.
On the day of check-in, the owner did not send the PIN code for the key box. Only after I contacted her myself via WhatsApp, at around 3:30 p.m., was I given the code. This made me quite anxious, as there had been no prior information about how to access the apartment.
The apartment is located in a semi-basement. The floor is tiled, so it is cold, but this was not mentioned in the description. Electric heaters partly alleviate the situation.
There is effectively no separate kitchen, and consequently no kitchen sink—the only sink is in the bathroom, which is quite inconvenient when preparing food.
There were also noticeable traces of dirt on the toilet seat, which created an unpleasant impression regarding the cleanliness. The bed linen is synthetic and very uncomfortable to sleep on.
The price is average, but considering all these conditions, the apartment seems somewhat overpriced.

On previous visits to Riga, I always stayed at the Old Town, but this time I wanted privacy, more space, and a quiet neighbourhood. This apartment has it all, with the bonus of a private street entrance. The “Alternative Riga” tour goes right through this area. Nearby are a beautiful wooden Lutheran church, an Orthodox church, a Stalinist-era building with panoramic views, the Holocaust Museum, and the amazing Riga Central Market.
